Peter Kays - Britain's Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ

did anyone notice the start, about the phone lines ar open, the lights are rigged.... :)

im sure the text said " the phone lines " then " are rigged "

I asked my husband to turn this off when it started. I thought it would be like Scary Movie, an unfunny parody of a parody. But for once I'm glad I was ignored. This is great. :D

I reckon 2 up 2 down will win, only to be disqualified when the girls are revealed to be pretending to be disabled...leaving Geraldine the winner..

I think you might be right. Not only is it a shit idea, it's a shit idea by Peter Kaye who has not managed to say or do anything even remotely funny ever.

Garlic Bread?

Wanker.

He can be funny tbh.

I like his phoning the Chinese take-away gag.

"Hi, do you deliver?"

"No, but we do pork and chicken..." :D

Cannot be fucked to read this thread as I've already wasted enough tie on this show tonight. Might've been funny as a segment in a sketch show, but it lasted fucking hours. The joke had been and gone inside a minute.

I must be missing something , Peter Kay has had me laughing before but this is dire .

How can such things as a fame seeking gender changed man returning to his home to see his old school and the best punchline Kay could come up with is that when asked if they have any questions one of the children answers is "have you got a dick" be funny

that might be funny for early teenage boys but its half past 10 on a Sunday evening , Im sure there are lots that took part that when they see this will be embarrassed certainly wont be remembered as a classic and was way overhyped.

Xfactor is actually much much ... funnier than this "comedy" parody of it .

This is really really embarrassing comedy compared to his past offerings , the giggles ended long ago .

Agree completely. Peter Kay has shown with Phoenix Nights (and some of Max and Paddy) that he's capable of brilliant comedy, but this has more in common with his stand up, in that it's utterly crap and cringeworthy.

There are definitely some lols in there.

I have always thought Peter Kay was a bit middle of the road and hit and miss.

The Ice Cream Man Cometh episode of That Peter Kay Thing is proper comedy gold though.

Oh dear, second part was utter shite, am removing from my memory as the first part was the funniest thing i've seen this year.

Im at a loss how Cat Deeley shouting "fu*king shut up" at a noisey audience is funny it certainly isnt comedy genius is it

Is it Kays attempt to shock?

Really really embarrasing and only still on here as I find it sad watching Peter Kay's career dying like this, who ever told him to go ahead and air it after seeing this , needs stuffing.

Still he has had a good run and I suppose that really his last 2 video releases were just the same old jokes so should have seen it coming.

Really really enjoyed his lifestory book that I got as an xmas present and although he has enough money not to ever have to worry about anything I still find it very sad that he has dropped to this

... its very very poor and obviously just a vehicle for selling his other dvds etc by attracting viewers via the hype and its connection to a program/programs that pull in the highest viewing figures .

Agreed, the first part was great, but the second part was really unfunny. It was just what I imagined the programme would be. I kept hoping they were building up to a big laugh, but it never came.:(

Just is. Different strokes for different folks etc etc.

Anyway, Peter Kay's always been shit in my mind, I never even got the big hoo-hah over Phoenix Nights either. *shrugs

Well, I'm loving it frankly.......
"Best harmonising I've heard in 25 years, since Brother Beyond"
Me too :D

The attention to detail is fantastic...
I loved the "you blew us all away during drum and bass week" line
Haha :D

I like the move in the medley from free nelson mandela to umbrella by Rhianna.

All these moments and more had me and my bro n boyf. laughing n chuckling all way through. Very funny :)

Like I said, I don't think Peter Kay is amazing, but I liked Phoenix Nights because I am from Wigan, right next to Bolton, and I have been out to places like that.
