He was on Jonathon Ross, too. If that's not Friday night mainstream coverage, I don't know what is.
Still, we'll never understand, because we don't have the right kind of poetry in our souls, or something.
To which, I say "fucking good".
If Pete Doherty is indeed as the Cheesy one claims, a poet, then he's the spiritual heir to William T. McGonagall, not (as he attempts to paint himself, with his references to "Albion") William Blake.
Did he turn up?

yep and so did his adoring fans in a Scotland, causing a mini riot, the usual wherever he goes...
Both are rated way beyond their level of ability
No, that's the big house of weird folk who don't feel comfy with missing c's in people's names and are on a mission to right the wrong. And who like correcting people with facts that they know are factually incorrect because they get some kind of sexual thrill from looking stupid in public. Is that the big house of finger-waggling illiterates who try to play smartarse and end up with egg on their face then?

they sound like a right bunch of twats.
This sums it up for me.
Just teenagers having fun.
Can't help noticing that there's a c in that that isn't there. But his name's Doherty, not Docherty? Weirdo

Why? She's an alright singer, but hardly that unusual. And if you judge her on recent performances she can't even sing properly.
I like her, but the idea that she's a massively unusual talent strike me as false.

Stow it, grandad. Either you're with us or against us. This is an anarchist website. There's nothing wrong with this kind of teen rebellion and I for one encourage it. This is what's missing from music these days. I only wish it was my stuff that got jumped on.a "mini-riot" sounds a bit more than just "teenagers having fun" but as i don't know the details of what happened i can't really comment. i think i heard once about a libertines or babyshambles gig getting cancelled due to a bit of the venue's ceiling collapsing and the fans started a bit of a riot outside, jumping up and down on cars and things. did that happen?

There I think you are wrong. I read a lot about her, and I have NEVER read of any living artist (who is young) to receive the adulation she gets for her music.
She is already considered a musical legend and will go down in history as a legend.
I agree with you that she cant even sing anymore (live) either. Its devastating, and I wouldnt go and see her.
No - it proceeds directly from o to h.There's no 'c' in Doherty?

Legend my arse. She's great paparazzi fodder, but nobody I've ever heard will call her a legend based on a couple of variable albums. It'd be daft to.
What's so unusual about a jazz-tinged singer learning the ropes at the BRIT school. Apart from being thin, young and white that is.
On a couple of albums, why do you think it be daft?
You are wrong about writing her off as a good vocalist and thats it, she is not seen that way.
Only the voices in your head tell you that, Cheesy. She's ordinary - an ordinary singer and an ordinary drunk/addict who has the misfortune of being in the public eye. There are many many better female vocailists to fawn over.
Calling Amy Winehouse 'ordinary' is as bonkers as your thoughts on Ian Dury.
I find it *amazing* how there still might be some people out there not won over by Amy Winehouse.
Not at all.
She is like a slightly pissed karaoke pub sing....................AH!
