Perfume.

Coco by Chanel..been wearing it for about 22 years now and I still love it.

Old ladies wearing Blue Grass by Elizabeth Arden always reminds me of my lovely nan.....

Smell is the sense best related to memory, apparently.

I tried Vera Wang -Princess the other day, as I really, really like the bottle. Unfortunately it's minging.

If anyone has it and doesn't want the bottle when it's gone, I would love to have it. I will reimburse postage. :)

DKNY Be Delicious for day, Lancome Hypnose for the evenings.

And Paco Rabanne for when I want to be the Daddy.

Kenzo Jungle Elephant. (I'm waiting for a bottle to be delivered)

Let it Rock/Boudior/Anglomania by Vivienne Westwood.

Paul Smith London.

Does anyone else just absolutely not suit perfume?

I have Issey Miyake and Opium at the moment. I've had an assortment of others too and absolutely none of them smell good on me. On other people they're lovely. I have no way of explaining this since I'm fairly certain I don't smell bad, like my personal smell, but when I put perfume on I smell, well, not terrible, but certainly not like other people when other people wear perfume. :( And it makes me sneeze.

I like perfume oils from these people: http://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/

Got loads. Last forever, only need a drop. No alcohol in them, so none of that nastiness that can come with normal perfumes.

My tolerance for perfumes with alcohol has reduced considerably since using these.

in Summer: jarden su de nil (hermes)
green tea elizabeth arden

Spring: Coco Mademoiselle (chanel)

Winter: Jador (dior)
Prada (...)

evenings out: Allure (chanel)

then Blue aftershave on my man (ralph lauren)

I wear Gucci Rush, which I adore, and have done for (counts) six years now- though i hate the nasty plastic bottle.

I love the design of the new Agent Provocateur scent "Maitresse", but i dunno what it smells like. anyone?

Paris though it doesn't work on me any longer.

My all time fave was one called Dans La Nuit by Worth. I loved it. Pure Rhinoceros sweat. :)

You shouldn't rub it into your wrists. Try some simple ones from Body shop or their mixer pack to experiment.

If it makes you sneeze it might be that it smells great on you to other people but something in perfume/sweat combo offends your olfactories.

Angel is the one that I wear most of the time.

I also really like Angel Peony (I think that's right) - it's purple but it never made it over here - got it in the duty free

I'm currently wearing J'adore Dior.

I also like Jean Paul Gautier Fragile and Issey Miayke.

I love the original and have some of this too - unfortunately i think its a bit of a disappointment - but it sounds like you should be checking it out, they've started stocking it in generic perfume shops now so you may be able to find it easier than formerly.

the AP sauce is rather nice too.

:)

Good taste. I have Oscar de la Renta and Rive Gauche. I never wear perfume though but Christmas I'll spray a bit of Rive Gauche on

I love perfumes.....I can't leave the house without it; I just love smelling good. Some of my favorites are:

Sandalwood and Rose by Bath and Body Works (if all else fails, this is my signature scent)

OMNIA by Bvlgari- my mother used to wear this a lot, and whatever my mom wears, I do too, and I love it; but I haven't had it for a while......I need to stop by chinatown one day soon, and buy some more, because I absolutely love this scent.

Blue Orchid, or Patchouli and Musk solid perfumes from Anthropologie.

I adore patchouli, plain, but a lot of people find it disgusting, so I don't want to wear something that half the people I know find nasty.

And weirdly enough, I LOVE Love Spell, by Victoria's Secret, but I never wear it, because it's a body spray, so it fades away quickly.

Yeah. I'm allergic to a lot of fun things- cats, hayfever (so summer then) and obviously perfume. I may see whether Santa could get me something fun from the Body Shop and see what suits. Good idea.

I don't use usually perfume. Sometimes a bit of essential oil - narcissus or lotus and not too long ago I bought something very light...a mixture of oils.

Over the summer I was with someone who was really into perfume/cologne. I used to like sneaking a bit of his on me now and then.

At lunchtime I discovered Hermes Eau des Merveilles  Wow! Am skulking off work in a min to find out how much from House of Fraser cos I'm too impatient to wait and order via t'internet. Honestly, I'm like perfume the way other women are like shoes or handbags of stuff.

Description:

Eau des Merveilles’ juice has notes that include elemi, bitter orange, Italian lemon, Indonesian pepper and pink pepper. There’s also what the house calls an “ambergris accord,” plus woody notes, including oak, cedar, vetiver, balsam of Peru and tears of Siam. Unlike most fragrances, which traditionally only reveal woody and ambery notes at their base, Eau des Merveilles’ are noticeable throughout. And it has almost no floral notes — a rarity in a women’s scent.

I can feel a credit card moment coming on... :o
