I'm a bit late, sorry, here's what the Chanel website says about Allure:
No more top, middle and base notes. ALLURE dispenses with these traditional notions to embrace a multi-faceted approach. There are six of these facets to be exact, which overlap and harmonise with each other, no single facet becoming dominant over the others. Jacques Polge uses his great skill as a composer to maintain this balance which allows everyone to find their own individuality and allure. Created in 1996, this fifth fragrance for women ushers in the 21st century and establishes the importance of the individual.
Calabrian citron gives a Fresh facet, while Sicilian Mandarin adds a sparkling, fruity and gourmand note to the second facet. The next, the Timeless Floral facet, is expressed by Jasmine, a signature note in all CHANEL fragrances. Then there is the Imaginary Floral facet, combining magnolia, honeysuckle and water lily, and finally the Woody facet, celebrating the delicate and restrained sensuality of vanilla from Réunion. Each woman can interpret these facets in a different way. Each woman can express her own individual allure.
Floral, fresh, oriental.
The six facets
1 / Fresh : Citron note.
2 / Fruity : Sicilian Mandarin.
3 / Timeless Floral : May Rose, Oriental Jasmine.
4 / Imaginary Floral : Magnolia accord, Honeysuckle accord, Water lily accord.
5 / Woody : Haitian Vetiver.
6 / Oriental : Vanilla from Réunion.
In a nutshell...it's quite soft and sweet, I don't smell anything fruity in it myself.
