Perfume

Wear Opium every day (just a teeny bit in the day, a bit more at night) and have done for years - was hugging an ex-boyfriend a year or so ago (very innocent), went out with him 20 years ago, he said I smelt 'just like I always did', then he gave me an extra big squeeze :D

I've never really been a big wearer of perfume, although that could be explained by the fake Poison hand-me-down that I splashed on for a few of my teenage years :D Generally I just have one on the go; for years it was Issey Miyake, then J'Adore which I do still like...but all the chemical perfumes have really started to smell overpoweringly, well, chemical to me. Now I wear Love  by B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful, and despite the shit name I do love it - it's spicy and makes me smell like warm apple pie. And we all know how much the boys like that :D

I love perfume and have loads that I wear and change which perfume I use each day, my favs at that I am using at the mo are:

DKNY - Be delicious - the green one
Silvantore Ferragamo - incanto
Ghost - night
Kenzo - L'Eau Par
Estee Lauder - sunflowers

I also like Happy by Clinique for men

I'm a geek. I trawl obscure perfume shops everywhere I go to find something unusual. I'm currently wearing Serge Lutens' Fumerie Turque, and L'Eau d'Hiver by Jean-Claude Ellena. I'm off to Venice in a few weeks so will be bringing home a little something, hopefully.

The smell of Opium makes me feel nauseous(sorry those who like it), there is some other perfume that does that too but I'm not sure what it's called coz it's not polite to ask a stranger what they are wearing when you're trying not to gag! :o I have to avoid ladies wearing it, it affects me that badly.

I used to wear Poison but it's too strong now. Mostly for the last year I am wearing DKNY energising parfum(tis citrusy). Bought it at Edinburgh airport in the duty free and despite wearing it at least a couple of times a week I still have more than half a bottle left(Tis a 100ml one)
I've even started using it as an air freshener.

I like quite a few JPG perfumes but haven't bought any yet.

Kenzo flowers
Kenzo summer
Kenzo in the yellow leaf thingy
Ghost Summer
Ghost Night
Ghost in the light blue bottle
Jean Paul gaultier (his and hers, not at the same time mind)
D&G light blue
Baby burberry which has a cute rocking horse on it,although why you would put perfume on a baby is beyond me but its smells nice.

I used to wear eden but now it makes me feel sick, anais anais smells like my aunt which makes me cry now :( Rive Gauch smells like mum :)

I wear Tommy Girl which is quite light, and I've just bought a bottle of Narciso Rodrigues For Her, which I love.

I like citrussy light ones. Poison and Opium make me gag, they're so heavy and strong. :(

Opium is way too strong if you wear too much, and I'd agree with everyone whose made that comment, once or twice I've put too much on by mistake and it's made me feel sick - the trick is to wear a tiny amount so it's only noticable when someone is really close to you, then it's lovely and warm and sexy :)

dunno what my fav is on a lady....though do like when you catch a whiff of someone and their fragrance reminds you of a past lover....happens every now and then like a particular song or something though more personal.

Have to say that wonderful bodyshop smell dewberry conjours up so many memories of getting it on a parties when about 15....never seem to smell it anymore....wonder if they still do it?

but isn't that just the pure loveliness of her aura?:)
Well that's put a smile on my face - thanks Penni :D

Skim - it's Ghost by Ghost. Have almost finished my latest bottle but it was mentioned in my letter to Santa and I have been very good this year, so hopefully I'll get some more on Monday :)

I have a variety of fragrances which I chop and change depending my mood.

LouLou is my all time favourite but I don't actually wear it as often as I used to. One of my mates once said of it "Oh that's what YOUR smell is" :D

Today I am wafting round a Demeter fragance, Pipe Tobacco which is lovely and apricoty and v comforting.

I also have in my collection:
Urban Decay's Sin which makes me smell of cake
B Never Love which I also like for its apple pie like scent
B Never 1000 Kisses Deep which is more Flashman's fragrance but I pinch a bit now and then
B Never Cocktail, Dear John, Ladybody & Dirty in mini vials
Lush forum special perfumes of Potion and Snowcake
And a few others knocking about that I can't bring to mind at the moment

Initially a nice feeling, but then I get all nostalgic and a bit sad. So intimate. Sometimes makes my body feel how it used to lying by theirs.

I love it when someone walks past you and they leave a gorg smell all around, not so good when that smell is that is saturated like Ck one was many years back. I love hugo boss red, it was given to me as a xmas gift 4 years back, its a sexy night time fragrance. i also love Obsession and Jean paul Gualtier though I tend to wear the summer one. this year I bought the JPG hair mist which was lovely. Ideally I would love a custom made scent but still feel at my ripe age that I have not found my smell yet !. At school I poisoned the class with Body Shops 'dewberry'.xx

Yeah...smell is very evocative like that. Although sadly for me it is the smell of stale cigarette smoke that always conjures up the image of my first boyfriend.

Whenever a man wearing Issey Miyake for men goes past, I always stop in my tracks a little bit cos it's my boyfriend's scent :) mmmmmmm, lovely.

I like Origins Ginger Essence, Karma by Lush (but only a lil bit is needed) and some french baby perfume by Jacadi, its really lemony. Ooh and Les Belles de Ricci, smells of tomato leaves...mmmm!
I generally prefer perfumes that blend in with your skin's smells rather than making it smell of *FLOWERS* and *SWEETS* and *LADIES*

Update: popped into Body Shop for the 1st time in ages today and they've started doing all their old perfume oils again! Including Woody Sandalwood! Tis only £6/bottle so might have to grab some :)

I had to put some on and then compare it to Youth Dew to see if they smelled similar or if it was just my olfactory senses playing tricks on me. They are definately in the same territory but definately different - and the one is definately a whole lot cheaper!

Stale cigrette smoke and silverkin hairspray reminds me of a ill advised fling in the mid '80's with a new romantic guy called Neil :o

I love Il Bacio by Borghese. It's discontinued though. But I found a huuuge bottle in a shop in Hong Kong (hooray!).

My new fave is Flower Bomb by Victor and Rolf. I've always been a granny when it comes to perfume - I love florals and this is a MAJOR floral.

I wear Chanel Allure.

I have done for years. 10 years even. I just looked it up. I've got no idea what sort of smell it is as I pretty much started wearing it before my sense of smell got fixed and now it just smells like me... :o :)
I'm interested to try that new(ish) one. Allure Sensuelle. Except I can't spot it locally and big smelly places make me feel ill.
