This year I want to smell like a proper grown up lady

Heady innit?! I wear it that much I think I'm immune and probably sufficate everyone in a five metre radius

Quite. I have a bottle of Alice that is old now, and fading fast. So I slather it on only to get outside and realise it isn't fading that much afterall. I spend the rest of the day wafting my clothes into the breeze to try to dislodge it lol!

I love buying my missus perfume and, touch wood, she has always liked my choices.

The last perfume I bought her was Stella McCartney's In Two, she likes it so much that she has gone through 3 lots in the last 12-18 months.

It comes in a Peony Eau De Toilette and an Amber solid perfume which can be worn individually or together.

Anyway, Czech and Speake Grapefruit, don't care if it's for men, it's lovely.

Heh. I wear Chanel no5. Only on 'certain occasions' though.

I generally go between Calvin Klein's Euphoria and Cacharel's Amor Amor. The first being my favourite, and the one that most people comment on.

I think ambergris is mostly synthesized these days as are a lot of the animal-derived ingredients like musk etc. (Btw - exactly how the hell did they ever work out these things smell good on humans?!?! What the fuck were they doing with them in the first place?!)

I've been wearing that for years - I don't know where this new knicker thing comes from. Smells like incense to me.

Hello - I'm new. This is my first post here (seems early but it's really the time difference)

I am a perfume obsessive and last year got my holy grail: Tabac Blond by Caron. It was Marlene Dietrich's favourite (she's dead so she doesn't need it anymore) and is the smell of leather and uncooked raw tobacco leaves. You can only buy it from Harrod's Roja Dove haute parfumerie (ooh, get me so winky wanky woo) and my husband got it decanted and it cost hundreds - ouch!

I only like old fashioned perfumes really (although I do like Serge Lutens and Frederic Malle)

I also only buy the parfum if I can, not the toilette as the parfum has a truest smell and last longest

I'm currently rotating Tabac Blonde, Narcisse Noir and Parfum Sacre by Caron, I've also got Robert Piguet's Fracas and Bandit. Chanel No 5, Chanel no 22 Coco and Cristalle, Serge Lutens Daim Blond, A La Nuit, Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose and Dominique Ropion Une Fleur en Cassie, Rose by Rosine, Van Cleef & Arpels First and Arpege by Lanvin. I also wear a man's scent called Mouchoir de Monsieur by Guerlain.

I normally wear chanel allure but have just been given kenzo amour. It's quite nice. Bro outlaw thought it was 'young' enough for me which I've decided the intent is a compliment.

Got a big bottle of Donna Karan 'Black Cashmere' for Xmas. Plus a bottle of YSL 'Opium' - a scent which I've been determined to love for years but - until recently - refused to love me. I think it's an age thing. I'm finally old enough to wear it *sobs*

All my samples from The Perfumed Court have arrived. I can't wear the Patchouli one - it's incredibly intense. If anyone's a major patchouli fan PM me and I'll send it on.

The Ambre Sultan is... interesting. But not sure it's really me. Will need to experiment more with the others and see how they sit on me.

Tanky - I hear you about 'White Linen' although I do quite like 'Youth Dew'

I got a load of perfume for Xmas. Sadly, its all a bit meh. Gucci Envy Me, Eliz Arden 5th Ave (thanks mum in law ) DKNY Be (which isn't bad) and last but not least, Kylie fucking Minogue. The last one is going back, my sister in law is taking the piss.
