Last time my parents stayed they came over for dinner, then went to bed while I went to Unsound. Then I got home just before they got up and went home, allowing me to take the bed. An excellent system all round I think. :)

I did that last time I came to Unsound. But with my 5 year old nephew. He gets up at 7am - just as I got home. I got his nice warm bed. Works very well indeed

Would your parents be mortally offended if you went out after they went to bed Stig?

Yep. Although it's best if they don't get to see your eyes when they leave.

He's five - he pretty much buys anything you tell him. ;)

Won't last long though so got to make the most of it for now

My parents are a bit older, strangely.

I think they know when it's best not to ask questions though. ;)

No, it's more the waking up at 6am sunday morning expecting to be entertained for the whole day that's the problem :(

weirdest PROD EVER :D

due to Wolfie moving house and me being incompetent, we couldn't do a mailing list mailout so there was confusion / lack of knowledge about the date. so lots of PROD regulars were missing.

Instead, we got about 30 really odd and often fucking irritating people who ended up being quite good value in a perverse way..

and the new decor isn't TOO bad. Once the lights are down ;)

hope they replace the mirror ball soon :(

New Decor ?

Have they got rid of the hideous wallpaper then ?

yep. all a kind of orange / peach now. But not bad when the lights are down and at least the PROD backdrops aren't competing with framed football shirts ;)

That was good fun :)

But I seem to have lost my glasses   I know one pair was found, but mine weren't in a case (I thought they were in my pocket). They're oblongy with a silver frame round the top only. Anyone seen them?

they're at the Canterbury. WHen we announced the found pair, somebody - Etnea maybe? - handed us another pair, which we then announced too. i think i left them safely in the CD / amp rack, so they'll still be there unless Ouchmonkee handed them to the landlady. Give them a ring :)

Hooray!! Thank you and thanks etnea :) :)

Oh. Just phoned them and the man I spoke to said they weren't there... He went to check and couldn't find them, so perhaps ouchmonkey put them with prod stuff?

Enjoyed it.

Apparently I stink of garlic this morning. That'll be Magot's fault - thanks for the fab food. I picked up a few pointers for improving my pasta sauces, Magot style!

Someone has a B52s cd of mine somewhere...

Rock Lobster! - great song choice ;)

little edge posting here....

Was a strange, but fun prod :)
Sorry to LD Rudie for bailing out and not making it to unsound... I was lured away by the promise of earl grey and peanut m&ms

Although by the sound of it, he is still out and about now, mashing it up

I didn't pick my CDs up so unless someone else did, PRoD still has them (Sorry).

Was too tired to enjoy PRoD properly so bailed out early and still had a nightmare getting home after the last train and two nightbuses failed to turn up

It was very quiet but some damned good tunes. Good AC/DC quotient, I thought. My sister was there from Liverpool and loved it (first PRoD) and there was quite a bit of drama going on at the front door, for reasons I couldn't figure out. Had lovely chats with a couple of people, downed a fair few ciders, so all good for me.

Groucho DID smell of garlic, more than I've ever known anyone smell of garlic ever before. He stayed at my flat and I still have all the windows open getting rid of the smell.....I mean, I like garlic myself but this is war torture...

Very good fun indeed. Although us urbanites were a little thin on the ground and there were some very odd people instead. Why throw a ball around if you're as embarrassingly useless as those two peculiar men were at catching it?

Still, no one tried to nick my jacket this time

Yes those men with the ball were a bit odd, especially whn they started hiding it from each other.

And, the Irish guvnor seemed to have a younger man with him, who was throwing one or two people out. I haven't a clue why. There were some strange goings on.

Rock Lobster is indeed a great song. I never understand why Love Shack is more popular cos in my opinion it's a nonentity of a song.

BTW, I LOVE the sound of a beach PRoD. Used to have em all the time as a girl growing up in Lancashire..all nighters in the sand dunes, fab. I hope it won't be on one of those pebbled beaches tho...they're so painful on the arse, pebbles.

i adore prod - but yes it was odd - i thought it was just my funny mood...

it struck me today that there are only two more prods before the summer break...

i shall weep. :(
