And several others too.

Lars was in UK Subs, too for a bit. Not sure they were exactly great then, but they once were... :D

:D :D :D

I have to say that the majority of people on this thread should have stuck to one band rather than inflict themselves on us in various forms.

Kim Deal made GREAT music with more than one band - as did a few of the boston 4ad crowd IIRC (tanya and kristin certainly)

edited to add:
Bruce foxton never made great music with SLF, SLF were a cover band of themselves by the time he joined.

Michael Franti should never have formed spearhead

josh homme and nick oliveri were both in kyuss and qotsa... i could describe either of those bands as pretty great

edited to add: these have all been mentioned on page 2... oops.

The Only Ones didn't actually record anything during the brief period Tilbrook was in them, so hard to claim greatness.

Good call with Jimmy Page though.

Neil Haggerty - Royal Trux and Pussy Galore
John Spencer too I suppose - Cold Hands was a great album but the rest of boss hog suck. Oh and of course there is the explostion.

Tomahawk

Along with numerious other side projects like General patton v's the exicutioners, Loveage, Hemophiliac, House of Discipline, Moonraker

Listening to it right now !

21st Century Boy is fucking great as well

Maggots just a grumpy old man and ever since I posted that picture of his heart being broken when Charlton scored an equaliser to send Palace out of the premier league he's been disagreeing with everything I say :D :p

Janet Weiss is the excellent drummer for two of my favourite bands, Sleater Kinney and Quasi.

Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins also sang on most of the best tracks by This Mortal Coil.

Dean Warham of Galaxie 500 and Luna

Stephin Merritt juggles four bands/projects: The Magnetic Fields, The 6ths, The Gothic Archies and Future Bible Heroes.
