People who used to maintain they weren't that bothered about Glastonbury

I haven't been bothered about missing Glastonbury for the last few years, but I wish I was going this year. It just feels like it's going to be a good one.

A few months back, before ticket day, various members of our group were being non-plussed about it all. Bought tickets, but were still saying "oh well, we can always cancel them. we might even just forfeit them if it's not going to be good weather"... now they are all running around this weekend in pre-fest stocking-up fever, and one mate who was absolutely 100% "not going" is now wavering. :)

I haven't been bothered since they put up that fence which is taller than the Berlin Wall was. :(

If you mean you used to jump it... you can still go for free if you work (better than free really, some jobs have food thrown in too).

In answer to JTG's original question I honestly can't imagine how broken I would be feeling right now if I didn't have a ticket to what is till the greatest show on earth :D

I like that description...:) I'm still not going but I did wobble a few weeks back but my main factors are time/money. I'm using the glasto fund for something later in the year.

Yeah this. Still nervous about the weather though. :hmm: And the fact that my bezzer is driving us and she is coming back from jersey tuesday night so if her crossing is cancelled because of bad weather we're stuffed and won't get there wednesday unless I drive my heap.

It's not that I don't want to pay the ticket price, it's just that a festi with a 100000 people who bought tickets online is a bit different to a festi with an extra 100000 random nutters in the mix :D

They can call it what they like.

2000 was scary. Whilst I don't like fences I don't like nearly being trampled to death either.

I'm utterly un-bothered, surprisingly. I'm really interested in the goings on, and I hope everyone has a fab time, but no regrets whatsoever. I'm looking forward to my weekend in Whitby just as much. :)

The Guardian will be calling it the new Glyndebourne before long :(

They used almost those exact words in 2004. But before too many people do 'knowing nods'...

Here's another, previous, Guardian headline:

"Middle Earth and Middle Class"

For fun, guess the year. No cheating ;)

I don't mean that in a gloating way of course. More like seeing someone make up with their partner :)

oh and I have to say Tort, that FAQ is worth it's weight in gold. It's put my my GF's mind at rest over so many things. Even though I'd told her all of that, she thought I was just spinning a line to get her to go. :)

Should I start up a spin off business in relationship guidance? :)
