People who bring accoustic guitars to house parties - are you one of them?

Someone bringing along an unasked-for guitar in the hope of seeking attention is generally a git.

If it's a 'coming round to play guitars' party that's an entirely different affair.

yeah that ^^^

dont most people have at least one acoustic guitar kicking around their house anyway? i would think so...

(so no need to bring your own really is my point ^^...)

Did I say that? No. What I'm saying is that you're whole concept that music has been 'taken' from people is bollocks.
ok fine then. the idea of it being "taken" isn't that important, i mean noone can prove for sure exactly why people have stopped playing music to each other, that was just my opinion, of course it is a romantic point of view, why not? and really who cares if it is nostalgia for an imaginary past? i am talking about where music should be going now, the future.

and I was expressing a dissatisfaction with modern culture, without whcih i wouldn't have heard any of the music i love, contrary hey?

are actually neurotic little posh boys using a rousing rendition of some Jeff Buckley wank as a way of copping off with some easily impressed girls off their Art History course.

Funnilly enough, I can think of one party where exactly that happened.

He was a posh prick & she was on an Art History course.

The only difference was that he tried to pass-off some Violent Femmes songs as his own! :D

who wants to just go to a party and take drugs until their nose falls off and listen to wildly obscure music all night??

Actually, urban, dont answer that!

i know when i go to party i am usually aiming to change the entire course of modern culture. i don't know about anyone else

cheesy will be along to explain that you change the entire course of modern culture wherever you go, cos you're just like Captain Beefheart. And Ian Dury
