i like them both. when i eat ethnic foods of sorts, i usually soak red onions in apple cider vinegar. cant live without strong flavors

My wife hates both. Olives barely exist in China, so the taste is just really really weird for her, and while onions are widely available, most southern/central Chinese hate them. They're more commonly used in the North though.

I DESPISED olives as a kid. Then grew to love them. Same with houmous.
