Pearce has been sacked by Citeh.

Anyone reckon Pearce'd be up for slogging it out in the Championship with the Blades next season?? Reckon he's got the right attitude to get us promoted (should Warnock decide to leave) but would he wanna drop down a division? Would he have a choice!? Who would give him a job in the Premiership?

Well he's not going to get a job in the Premiership (as a #1 at least) so it's possible he'll be looking for a Championship job. Has Warnock said he might go then? It's his dream job after all.

Nice; now we have to get some fool to take Samaras and Corradi of us. Looking grim though as most of the glue factories have closed down.

Coleman has a far better Premiership pedigree than Jewell.

And if Jewell got stressed out at Wigan, then he'll have a breakdown within the first few months of the new season at City.

warnock has been retireing for the past 4 years or so. I reckon this will be it though. He had his day in the full sun and now to the life of a pundit.

Good point. Who was the guy we sacked cos he was boring? I forget his name cos there've ben so many of them but he did have Backroom Bloke stamped all over him.

Yes probably. It was touch and go whether he was sacked or not at the start of the season we went up. Half the board wanted rid but the other half wanted him to stay. He stayed and got us promoted. But throughout this season (and last!!) a good proportion of the fans have wanted rid and many blame him for our relegation. I think he'll retire down to his tractor in Corwall probably.

Mixed feelings on it personally. If he stays I won't be unhappy as I think he could probably get us promoted again and will more than likely keep the team together. If he goes, and we get someone fresh in like Pearce (or maybe even Coleman?) then maybe a change would be good for the club and maybe they would have the increased tactical nouse/experience that Warnock has lacked, but then would the players want to stay without Warnock?

At least he can concentrate his managerial and coaching skills on the future of England with the U21's.

Either that or get a job as a sparky on the Olympic site - I know which I think he'd be better at.
