Probably. But when you open up a road, you get all sorts of traffic :)

There were a number of good south african musicians who worked on Graceland that went on to do good things and get a wider audience for all sorts of African music.
 
I think you need to have your anger soothed away by a marathon session of easy listening Dad-rock.
 
I like some of his songs, and I've got some CDs kicking about somewhere, although it's a while since they span.

I can't help thinking of him as unsufferably smug, though - I saw a show on him in Africa whilst he was doing Graceland, and it's stuck. I don't know if it's fair or not, but that's how he seemed to me.
