Totally, totally disagree with that but I'm not going to argue about it.

Think it's time to leave this thread and not come back.

Do you not think? I've seen Let It Be and although Paul came across as pushy and a perfectionist sometimes, it was clear that he really cared about the band and wanted them to do their best, while Lennon was prancing around the studio with Yoko.

I think Paul was always the more talented songwriter, a better singer and a better musician.

Rupert and the Frog Song (1984) was one of his finer moments. :D

Paul - John was great and equal partner for a bit but dissapeared into a fug of drugs and mental illness basically from 66 onwards.

funnily enough seeing Paul a couple of years ago (year before he did glasto) was reminded of how many wings songs I really love and I must have absorbed through osmosis somehow growing up in the 70s...no consistent lp but a great best of.

John Lennon without question.

Both genius songwriters but John had the edge in terms of passion, soul, lyrics and vocals. Paul had the melodic sensibility and is more of a classical composer like Lloyd Webber; Lennon's songs completely connect with people and express his beautiful ideals better.

...Lennon had pain in him

So did we when we were subjected to his self indulgent drivel and psuedo angst ridden scribblings that even a fifteen year old goth would be embarrased by.

They were both cunts.

What? Like "Imagine no possesions"? (with the exceptions of Rolls Royces, apartments in New York, massive houses in Surrey etc etc etc).

Working class hero be fucked. Up his own arsehole cunt.
