Paul Kaye -- Crap/Not crap

I liked him all the more when he admitted that he'd mostly had to do Pennis while drunk, to bolster his courage!! That's really sweet.
I heard amphetamines- (somewhat paraphrased)

interviewer- 'what was your favourite line when you were doing Pennis?'

Kaye- 'the line of speed I did before I went up to them'

In the great scheme of things, though, he does appear to be a MOR comic actor.

I tend to agree with the moominslayer... however, a couple of good lines stick in the mind...

Pennis (to Michael Jackson)- 'Michael! Michael! is it true that your favourite boyband is 5ive, or do you still prefer Boys 2 Men?!'

Pennis (to Mick Hucknall)- 'Mick- how would you you describe your music? are you rock, or are you pop? cos to me, you are soul...'

(Mick starts walking off)

Pennis (shouting)- 'You are soul! You ARE soul!'

He's filiming someting new in my work soon, with Michale Madson.. some new ganster film or something.. " the big i am "

im not that fused on celebs or anything like that, but i would really like to meet him...

'It's All Gone Pete Tong' is a good film too. Kaye is better than the film itself imho. Plus his manager is actually based on someone I know (!)

This was shown on BBC last night. Surprising if flawed film, the concepts don't work, works better when it's not trying to be a comedy. Paul Kaye gives a great performance, yes he is better than the film. The film is actually helped by time passing as it becomes a kind of dance era document. The coke badger/skunk character, excellent !

Fucking love Strutter!

This went bust and we never got paid ^^

He was brilliant in 'Pulling', playing a crazy boozer/hedonist. Be interesting to know how close the character was/is to Kaye's own character!

Always thought his Dennis Pennis charactor mined territory similar to Ali G and subsequently never became as well known as Baron Cohen's creation, still funny though :D
