Eh?

And I've been to Offline. I know Rob Newman.
Cool...how many people did you argue with then?

Edit to add...cool as in Offline...not knowing Rob Newman.

chrisshapland said:
None. I didn't really talk to anyone except the mate I went with (I hadn't seen him for a while).

Fair enough.

End of conversation....for me at least.

I. Don't. Know. Still, if that's your excuse for your club's association with mass murder, so be it.
jesus iddiocy is eternal.;
FOR THE UMPTEENTH FUCKING TIME, the war related deaths of more than one person is NOT mass murder.
mass murder = khmer rouge, darfur, 3rd reich, stalin. this (israel) is NOT directly comparable, and using such cheap emotive terminology simply cheapens and insults the memory of the victims of those crimes.
It also makes it harder for those of us trying to do something about it (and I'm betting that does NOT include you), because it means that zionism's apologist can point at those who bandy around such terms and say "look what they can accuse us of - the damn anti-semites!". it's a complete fucking own goal, and entirely unnecessary - what is happening out there needs no hyperbole to make it stink

The murder of a lot of people = mass murder. Was Shipman guilty of mass murder?

I'm stopping now as you're obviously upset. Maybe I'll come back to it in about November, after your teams won a game.

No that is NOT mass murder, and the fact that you think it does merely reveals your own woeful inability to understand the issues.
No shipman was NOT guilty of mass murder. he was a serial killer. again - rudolf hoess was guilty of mass murder. stalin was, chinghiz khan was. the israelis AREN'T.
edit out for the flimsiest of reasons....

see my earlier point. Israel's actions are awful enough. by using that term you play into their hands. it don't help.
HYPERBOLE DEVALUES A GOOD CASE!!!!!
edit; if you REALLY think israel is guilty of massmurder - any more than say the RAF was in WW2 - then, frankly, you are too politically ignorant, illiterate and braindead to be given any political rights to whatsoever.

Well then, that's my complaint addressed. Somebody at Arsenal is morally bankrupt.
erm, well, not in the eyes of all the legions of israel supporters.
equally if you look at the complaints about emirate airlines. EVERY large corp has skeletons. you take sponsorship dosh, you're prostituted. full stop.
I hate the fact that arsenal have taken this deal (Israel, don't mind the emirates one).
but, i dare say, if you look at the sponsorship deals of every and any club, and dig hard enough, soonwer or later there's dirt

No, I like it opened because it's wound up some gooners. Who probably live in my home town.
err, no you haven't, and I wouldn't live in your dreary tenthrate sinkhole of a town if you paid me a fortune to. fortunately, given that you have all the charm and wit of a corpse, you've simply made a universally-perceived arse of yourself (if you aren't perchance, who i think you are).

I now know that - unlike myself - you ain't never been there, and know sweet FA about the place.
the UAE is a money state, full stop. everyone's free to make a pile, that's ALL the place is about. and compared to just about every other m/east, arab and muslim state, it comes up smelling of roses.

You are having a laugh.

I've been there. It's great for tourists. Have you worked there or met locals? I think you're joking or bullshitting.

That's really not the point - the ethics of a one company are no business of another company*. Companies offer advertising space, other companies take it. There are really only 2 reasons for denying that space. The first is governmental regulations, typically focused upon the companies of a particular nation - not a problem with Israel, but a problem with Zimbabwe, to refer back to an earlier post. The second is public opinion, essentially a PR problem - the public withhold their custom as they dislike the association with an ethically troublesome company. I'm not aware of any such case in football, despite long associations with morally dubious companies of which Nike is quite a leading figure.

Or not in the business of moralising.

* In general. Some companies make ethics a cornerstone of their business, such as fairtrade, however they exist because enough consumers feel compelled to pay more for fairtrade to make it economically viable. I'm not aware of any fairtrade football teams, but please keep me informed.

I've lived in Finsbury Park, Somerfield road to be exact........ its a hole, its best described as a "through place" where no one wants to stop (train, tube, 7 sisters road, blackstock road) the only community there is the guys who hang around the tea shops...... and some of them are up to no good, ask a skag head

Finsbury Park gets a big thumbs down from me.... it sucks
