Party Eyeshadows

I used to bowl around with blue lipstick on. Matched my eye liner and made my teeth whiter innit. In fact, most of the time it was my eyeliner just mixed with lipgloss. :o

I too was a wearer of blue(silvery oh yes) lipstick - BOYZ COME AND GET ME!!!! No one wanted to snog a blue lipstick wearer :D

the thing about barry m is this: dazzle dust is full on pigment, but actually not the really sparkly stuff (although some are quite glittery).

for full-on sparkles you need barry m fine glitter pots. Smaller range of colours, though, which is a shame, but i've tried everything else (i believe) and this is definitely the most glittery eyemakeup out.

i apply them with my finger, but on top of a slick of concealer, which gives them something to stick to. There's a bit of sparkle migration, but not much.

i've got some gold glitter cream gel made by Zauders which i got from a stage make up and costume shop.
it's just like glitter glue from your childhood... but for eyes. i might have to wear it to Xmas PRoD ;) <------glittery wink

Oh my gosh, I love it here. Is so educational. I just applied sparkly pink and green eyeshadow and am obsessing about red now. Suddenly I have to have it.

The only thing I find with the Barry M pots, which are otherwise fantastic for full-on pigment, is that you have to apply with care to stop the loose powder drifting off the brush/fingertip and onto your cheekbones etc.

Ahhh see I saw a solution for this on the tele , you apply a generous layer of face powder on your cheek bones and under the eye. This catches any loose eyeshadow that falls onto your cheek bone , you then sweep it all away once you have applied your eyeshadow.

You're never too old for bright eyeshadow!

I think pictures are a good idea. :)

Ohhhhhh  thread :)

I love urban Decay and BarryM stuff!
Eermm we sell some Stargazer stuff where I work! Not bright red though..I don't think. Also sell Grimas glitter gels which are as hard wearing as Urban Decay so my work colleague says! I haven't tried them....yet. And we do Grimas face make-up which has bright colours (incuding very bright red!). Cream based prob. work better than the water based.
Anyone want any pm me to sort something out.

At mo my favs are - 2 Barbara Daly (Tesco) souffles in sea-foam (blue/green) and haze (purple) although they are shimmery not glittery/sparkly. Also love my "Sparticles" from Body Shop I bought ages ago. Tiny silver balls with a little round sponge to apply. It's a light sparkly silver. And I have a pot of Benefit MAJOR sparkly dust in a kind of blue/green, can't remember the name at mo though...

Glitter!! Ahhh love it
(Just went and put some on for the hell of it! Am sitting here in mah PJ's with silver n blue sparkly eyes! :D :o)

:D Bless!

BUMPITY BUMP BUMP.

Just wanted to big up Barry M Cherry Red Dazzle Dust. finally found some a year later!

Goes superbly with my new magenta red hair.:cool:

This was back when bustin made you feel good! :D Vintage Mads!

M_A, I came home this morning looking and feeling wretched! I did look wicked at the start of the evening though:D

as long as you had a good time

my eyes look like saucers, i just had a look
Ive avoided all mirrors since last night :D Im going for a run in a sec, sweat out the toxins.

Ive changed my hair colour this week- its much more eye-catching than my usual calm tones.
People are looking at me more and Im not sure Im liking that at the moment. I was really self conscious until I had my 3rd caipirinha. :)

Where did you go last night?!

Urban decay 'Midnight Cowboy' used to be a favourite of mine - until it shattered in me handbag one day  Still haven't gotten around to replacing it  again

That's the only Urban Decay one I've got. The sparkles go everywhere :D I've really not mastered using it at all

I got this amazing pot of stuff years and years ago from Beautyfresh. Can't remember who made it. It was a clear pot with a black lid. It was a clear gel with silver glitter in it, it was really really dense with glitter. It was amazing on the top lids, a bit thicker than you would apply eyeliner, not as thick as eyeshadow (when I say thick, I mean the size of the 'stripe' of it applied. I did apply it very thick, as in lots of it. IYSWIM lol). I ran out, and I never saw it again.

Ooh I want to big up the Barry M high pigment liquid eyeliners.

I saw a girl wearing magnificent electric blue and turquoise eyeliners (at the same time!), and she said she got them from Barry M.

I bought both yesterday, I need a place to wear them now.

Bumpity-bump...:)

I want full on glitter eyes for a festie in a few days time. If anyone saw Big Brother on Friday I'm thinking the way Bea had her eyes done. In fact I NEED my eyes to be like that.

I also need advice on application too please...:)

do your usual eyeshadow, or if you have the barry M glitter dust you dont need to bother because they have pigment in them, you have to be really careful with this to avoid going sparkly all over, but smear a *thin* layer of vaseline, and it's gotta be really thin otherwise it will travel, you then press whatever glitter you have onto it with an eyeshadow brush so it sticks, if you have gaps put a touch more vaseline on with a cotton bud. In theory it shouldn't move around that much when it's all covered in glitter, I wouldn't take it past the crease either.

and I *knew* after watching big brother someone would ask this! :D

I was just about to do it actually, I'm gonna have a fag then sort me desk out and get some makeup out me massiv kit box

how do you normally do your eyeliner?
