Parent and toddler parking - taking it too far?

Chairman Meow said:
Its not safe to let little kids go anywhere on their own. Weren't you complaining about unsupervised kids in supermarkets a few posts ago?

And, just sometimes, there are perverts in toilets you know. There was a bloke nicked here a few months ago who liked hanging around the swimming pool toilets and changing rooms. So no, I won't let my kid into the gents on his own, and I think parent/ child bogs are a great idea.

you could check the toilets to see if it's clear for them you know, they have to go unsupervised at some point.

No-one called you a paedo?

You did say this however, before you questioned my need to accompany a small child to the bog.

I hate the places instead I'm confronted by unattended kids wandering aimlessly around looking for the sugar fix aisle.

keep your kids under control and as for pubs, don't get me started on that.

Contradictory, much? I think you're just trolling now to be honest.

Exactly how do you suggest I check the gents toilets? I'm a woman, by the way.

ask a male member of staff to. That's if you really think there is a peado round every corner

Oh you're just being silly now. When a 4 year old needs to go, he needs to go - no time to be fannying around trying to get a male staff member to accompany my kid. And why would I trust a random member of supermarket staff to help my sprog on and off with his pants?!

What exactly is your objection to this facility being provided? I think you're just being a stirring twat, and thats a bit sad.

And who mentionned paedos around every corner? Err, you. You sad twat.

look I'm just winding you up if you haven't got it by now, I did it once when the car park was full and that's what I said when confronted, I even have no kids.

saying that some parents and children are wankers, I want to go round the supermarket in record time, I hate the places instead I'm confronted by unattended kids wandering aimlessly around looking for the sugar fix aisle.

I would put money on that more kids are injured inside supermarkets than in the car park so your argument about keeping your little precious tommy safe is redundant, last week I saw a little 7/8 year caught on the head by an oap pushing a trolley, where was his mother, fondling the fucking melons, FFS keep your kids under control and as for pubs, don't get me started on that.

are these your considered views or are you just continuing to be a lame troll?

for what reason, BTW I don't hate children, I love 'em, I am unlucky not to be able to have them myself, I get on great with kids, they like me but I can't stand people who let their screaming brats run riot in public places.

and as for the paedo remark, retract it.

when you call children wankers it sort of shows how you feel towards them, it certainly doesn't show any love, and as for me calling you a paedo, I called you a child hater, very different don't you know !

So, as a woman, it would be ok for me to peer into the men's loos to see if anyone's in there and if someone is using the urinal, my son would need to hang about outside, trying not to wet his pants until noone was in there, then go in and I should guard the men's loos and ask other men not to go in, because my son's in there? Don't be silly.

I let my 6 year old use the men's loos, accompanied by his 10 year old brother, but I'm not entirely happy with this arrangement.

If I need a wee when I have my 2.5 year old with me, he ends up fiddling with everything, which doesn't seem very hygienic and trying to open the door, which is potentially embarassing. If the loo was bigger, I could wheel in the trolley or pushchair, in which he could be strapped.

For these reasons, it would be easier for me and for lots of parents if there were parent and child toilets. They are very boring reasons and I can see why many people without children can't be arsed to engage with them.

But, I really have no idea why anyone without any children should give a shit whether more convenient facilities are provided for people with children.

Do you feel left out? Surely most things are already designed with you in mind.
