Which may have been a fair enough critisism if it had been a trotskyist who had done the comparing - but it was the original poster is is no trotskyist and does not claim to be.

It was your personal view a decade plus we have to rely on - a view contradicted by two other people - both of whom also claim to have been there - both of whom are known to have been likely to have been where they say they were. And, as i have already pointed out, this is something the Militants would have been dragged over the coals for endlessly if your version of events had any basis in fact.
So now you resort now to throwing a little more shit in the hope it sticks ("but I digress" - yes, just a little bit...) and the pathetic attempt at playing the 'oh. why didn't the CWI do more to help the poor little panther peoples' (the idea of self-organisation seems to have passed you by...).
If your sad, poisonous and decade late insinuations are all you have to be 'relevant' about 'brixton' - its probably best you don't bother posting more regularly.

The CWI's very belated idea of catching up with the idea of "self-organisation" was to opportunistically set up PantherUK as a black "self-organised" group , agree to them leading a demo "to smash the BNP , by any means necessary" - and then when trouble breaks out - have one prominent steward lead police into march to from a cordon - and then later have a whole cordon of stewards hold the march back -
I presume that is CWI's idea of "self-organisation" -

you said that 'one of the problems with trotskyists is that they measure their success against other trotskyists' - I simply pointed out that this was not a trotskyist doing the measuring. the OP and you were giving the opinions and doing the comparing (falsely, i would argue - but whats the point of discussing facts with you...).

I'll repeat one last time......a question was asked about PantherUK - and I stated what I witnessed - that's it , very simple and straight forward.The fact that dennisr can only resort to insult and abuse and try to change the subject to the economy says it all really............
Although the experience of PantherUK - and we still haven't heard how long it lasted - does pose questions about the whole concept of "self-organisation" -
eg. how CWI couldn't tolerate the "self-organisation" of its Scottish section which resulted in the majority of CWI members in Scotland leaving................leaving only a very few old CWI hacks stuck in "solidarity" supporting Tommy Sheridan in choosing to go to court and setting back the prospect of socialist advances in Scotland for years to come.
