Have you played with the Oly 75mm/ 1.8?
No, I don’t really shoot much at that length - I keep the 45-150 around on the off chance I do need a long shot but I wouldn’t spend a lot on one (I only paid £100-odd for that).
I've got to sell some of my m43 lenses as I've got more than I use now. It's really easy to quietly pick up a shitload of lenses!
That's a cracking lens!
What ones were you thinking of selling? I could be interested!
Speaking of M43 lenses I've just seen this new superzoom Oly coming out in march - 12-200 F3.5 - 6.3 Doesn't weigh that much more than the Lumix 45-200. Would be a great out and about general photography lens. (FT5) This is the first image of the new Olympus 12-200mm lens! - 43 Rumors
G9 is in need of repair!
Power failure and came on suddenly.
Can't blame on seller as I have taken close to 500-700 shots - worked well.
Anyone have experience of Pansonics authorised repairers DK AVS?
I've probably taken around 500 shots with the 15/ 1.7 and though it's good, excellent in fact, I just wish I had something where I didn't have to get too close. Like you, I have the 20/ 1.7 (v1) and it's FoV is what I've been working with on the GX7.
Do you ever find the 24/ 1.4 too restrictive?
I'll probably pick one of these up when I'm in HK as it's like £250 cheaper over there.
No - though with the proviso that I like 50mm primes generally so am used to working with them. I was taking photos of various people in my family yesterday, fairly close indoors, and I was worried that it might be too long but actually I found that it was perfect. I've also used it for street and protest photography.
If anything I find it a little less restrictive than a FF 50 due to the 4:3 image ratio rather than 3:2 - you get a bit more space.
Thank you. Very helpful.
