Mr Paddick does not make himself look good by insulting Mr Livingstone on the basis of his size.

I don't think it's really got anything to do with Livingstone's size of body. In the phrase 'nasty little man', 'nasty' is clearly insulting and 'little' is figurative, isn't it? It's the very opposite of 'great' in 'a great man'.

Is KL physically small? If he is, it's a trivial detail that I - and I bet most people - have never picked up on.

There's no doubt that Livingstone is capable of being nasty, is there? Look at his appalling dishonest and malicious treatment of Peter Tachell.

Is Boris also capable of that or is he "harmless"? I don't know, but my guess is that he's much more of a bastard than his bumbling posh clown act lets on.
