padded cycling shorts?

Seriously, a while ago I had the most worst sore arse due to my saddle and I tried it all, gel saddles, padded shorts etc etc and it just got worse until I got the brookes. I even posted about it on here about a yr or so ago

it would look really fucking strange on a road bike, i can tell you that for free :D

will keep it in mind though ;)

I wear padded shorts and they make all the difference. However, my seat is far too far back - I must have a weird-shaped body cos it can't go any further forward - when I'm riding, I'm always sitting on the front edge rather than the full saddle, and it can get uncomfortable.
I have the same problem

The shitty thing is that the clamps on nearly all micro-adjust seatposts are set back about an inch from the actual shaft of the seatpost. The only straight one I have ever seen is a Thompson one that costs 60 quid! 60 quid for a seatpost!

Baldrick get thyself dahn to decathlon, they sell padded shorts for about 6 quid. I wear them underneath my combat trousers

They arent anywhere near as comfy as Endura ones though.

and ferraris for long distance driving  you gets what you pay for :D padded briefs are worth a punt, you can get decent quality ones for <£15.
.

Assos shorts are pricey but they're without peer - other manufacturers have given up trying to better the Mille insert and are now using it under licence in some cases (Gore). £85 might seem like a lot but I got about 9000 comfy miles out of my Milles, so it was money well spent.
