Package for my landlord...

can't you just open it, read it, buy a new envelope, steam the stamp off the old one(or cut it off ), stick stamp back with pritt stick.

Deliver through door?

sellotape is a good option. parcels always come undone through the post, probbly through other nosey bastards taking a quick peek at the contents..things always end up arriving sellotaped up to buggery

It's simple for someone with morals. It's not simple for someone with an almost suicidal curiosity.

What the hell is wrong with you? It's a letter from an estate agent, not something of value. You'll be beating up the postman to get your hands on the Damart catalogue early next.

Get out more or something.

Just send it back to the sodding letting agents- cross out the address and write theirs on and you won't even have to pay the postage. Why do you even need to know what's in it?
Or maybe phone the agency and ask them if they know they've addressed something wrongly and is it destined for the tenant or the landlord?

A package addressed to my landlord arrived today. We always get mail for her, but the odd thing about this is that it's from the letting agents. It's a big bulky thing. Obviously they have her 'proper' address, so why the hell have they sent it here? I'm tempted to open it, but I know it's wrong...

DO NOT OPEN IT.

IIRC, knowingly opening letters or packages clearly addressed to someone else is not only bang out of order in most circumstances, it's also highly illegal. And, as the addressee is your landlord, I'd say it makes a great deal of sense to leave it alone and thereby keep them sweet by just looking after it for them.

Aside from the obvious legal and ethical considerations, they may have very good reasons, that you are not privy to, for having it sent to one of their other addresses and, all in all, I'd say that deliberately opening their post is illegal, unethical and could stand to get you into all sorts of trouble you really don't need.

Why not ring them and ask about it . . .

It was a pile of post for my landlord. That had been sent here. That we'd sent to them to forward on. The fucking muppets.

Never underestimate the fuckwittery of those involved in property.

I've been trying to sort out a new mortgage on my flat, which is rented out, and not only do the solicitors dealing with the paperwork send stuff to the flat (thus worrying my tenants unnecessarily) despite being told to send it to me in aberdeen, they also seem unable to read the simplest of forms which THEY said I had to fill in giving them all the information they asked for TWICE, meaning they send me letters asking repeatedly for information THEY ALREADY HAVE.

I hope you took great delight in sending it back marked 'NOT AT THIS ADDRESS'.
