D3 is also crying out for a charabanc trip. Although it's not se London granted
I think some sort of P12-100-D3 trip might be possible

Noo! that was the only good thing about Dulwich Village. 'The Dog' used to be my local when I lived near North Dulwich and I was fond of it, though I haven't been for a while.
P4 wasn't the most reliable of buses.
My lodger used to work there around 2005 - and liked it as a staff member.

i p12 it a fair bit
shit bus
i just want to go from HOP to Peckham, should take 5 mins but takes 20 the route it goes...and the stretch up to Surrey Quays is shit too
if you live in ladywell backstreets its useful though

Cos of this thread I was compelled randomly to jump on the P4 to Lewisham rather than getting the 356 I was waiting for
Now I am going back again on p4 to my original stop
I did take photos but don't know how to post them from my phone
I really wanted more hill action: what are best buses for hills?

most routes to Crystal Palace involve going up hill

the 244 via Shooters Hill is fairly impressive, although less so now it's single deckers (the 178, 291 and 192 before it were double deck at some point)

Dog Kennel Hill (40, 176, 185 and so on) had special arrangements when it was a tram route - it was required to have 4 tracks (2 in each direction) so that if a tram's brakes failed, there would not be another one too close behind / in front

Great pics Puddy_Tat
It was being on dog kennel hill earlier today that set me yearning for the other side of the hill
I wondered if one of the hopper buses Would go Round that block of flats that looks like a castle on a hill

I caught a p12 to find out...It didnt but the bus driver Just locked himself out of the cab and had to jump through the window:cool:

Just had the pleasure of a P4 from Brixton to the Horniman... With a singing driver:cool:

What a voice
He belted out a mash up version on psalm 23
His voice was a rich vibrating baritone the type that would be good to sing in the end of the world or the beginning of Lewisham;)
