Ah well.

Yeah, just hope we get automatic promotion next year!

It felt more of a low-key occasion that the FA Trophy last year TBH - the fans were quieter even before those early goals and there wasn't the atmosphere.

I think there wasn't the number of York fans there might have been due to the stupid KO time (5pm) which meant that if it'd gone to extra time or penalties people would have been getting back to York or its environs on a Sunday night at well gone 10pm, which isn't good if you want to take kids or have to be up early for work.

Oxford were the better side though, and deserved the win. Their fans seemed a decent bunch and there was a mix of fans on the tube back with no trouble (unlike the arseholes at Luton). IIRC they've been one of the stronger Conference sides in recent years and probably feel a return to the League is well overdue!

I went to the FA Trophy final last year and had a great day. This year I'd have throught the 5pm kick-off time was a bonus with more time for drinking beforehand. Each to their own though. The rain can't have been much fun either.

Some joker on the York local paper website is claiming it took him half an hour to get back to S. London - took me nearly 2 hours.
