Our cat's gone missing

He's back! :D I was just about to open the back door to call him again and in he comes through the catflap! He doesn't even seem that hungry, despite being out for over 12 hours. I bet he's been eating at someone else's flat!

I'm so relieved.

Thanks everyone. Panic over (until next time probably). We're so soft over our cat, if we lost him, we'd be utterly distraught.

Take him to the vet and get him microchipped, tomorrow! I dont want to worry about your cat like that again!

Thanks again everyone. I feel a bit silly panicing, I do know that cats sometimes stay out for a day or two at a time, but this is the first time our Min's stayed out for longer than 6 or 7 hours and not come home at tea time. I think we'll get him microchipped for peace of mind. :)

On every street is an old biddy with too much time and loads of pet food , but no animals themselves...strange but very true....

Had to quote this:D as Halz was SO right:D

Happy Endings, yeaaaaah

I want someone to design a collar (perhaps digital) where you can leave notes for the "2nd" owners. Could come in handy in lots of cases for example.

Dad cat to your mothers kittens - "Who's the Daddy ;)"
Your cat getting too fat "stop feeding me extra food"

Course you would have to catch the Dad cat, but still, I think its a great idea.:D

I feel your pain. Chim vanished a month or two ago (you may remember the thread) for about 72 hours in an unheard-of way, but then reappeared with a little mew in the middle of the night none the worse for wear. There's no accounting for mogs.

Glad he's back! And they have no idea about the worry they cause...

Yay that she came back! :D

Our cat never wanders far and in three years has only about three times not coming running to the door the second we open it. So if she's NOT there then a full-scale search is launched. She once went missing for about an hour and we were planning door-to-door enquiries. :D

Why did I not see this post before? :o  I have been worrying about him needlessly

this is Minou

He looks suspiciously like my cat who has disappeared for hours/days on end on several occasions without so much as a backward glance. I suspect this won't be the last time he turns your hair grey ...

He's gorgeous. You must be so relieved he's back. (Not that you wouldn't be if he was an ugly fucker.)

<goes to check up on own cat>

What a beautiful cat you have there. Minou looks so much like mine, perhaps a little wider in the face. Talking about cats, he has just jumped up and is currently trying to sit between my arms as I type!

I think he might want feeding..........

I've told him he's getting loads of compliments. He said "miaow of course miaow" and licked his paws.
