why are those tossers boycotting nandos?
i think it is connected to a failed campaign a few months ago, when nandos had the audacity to try and open in stoke newington church st.
i didn't see it as anti big business tbh, I saw it as a predominantly white campaign against a business that attracted a lot of black customersI thought we were anti big business and that destroying area character? Or is that too middle class to admit to?

You're right. I expect they wanted to keep all black people out of Hackney. For heaven's sake.

taking this thread off topic tbh, happy to debate it via pm if you want

Funny lot, colleagues basically... It's amazing the way people seem to behave as though the whole thing should be organised around their own particular wishes, without any comprehension of the fact that other people are going too! Last year when I was organising it I had several people say flat out "Oh no I'm not going there". Quite apart from anything else I felt it was incredibly rude to me when I'd taken a lot of time and effort to research the various options and consult people.
This year the boss decided where we were going and booked it unilaterally without consulting or even telling anyone. Result!!!!!![]()

Who is 'they'?

Maybe segregated activities are the way forward!![]()
I like a piss up as much as the next person but I like my nights out to be slightly classier (not much more tbf).
