the stuff I grow definatly tastes better than supermarket stuff but I look after me veg and feed it regularly

This is the thing - supermarket organic often doesn't taste that different - I mean it's still been refridgerated/frozen, transported for ages, vac-packed etc. Farm shops, local butchers etc are the best bet for non home-grown organic stuff... I'm staying in Suffolk at the moment, about 7 miles from Aldeburgh where you still get fishermen selling the night's catch in wooden stalls - it's a completely different experience... So much nicer than anything you can buy in any shops - sweeter, tenderer, more fishy.

Personally I don't really care if it tastes better - supermarket veg usually tastes alright enough for me - but the fact that it really pisses off the likes of Monsanto makes it all worthwhile

The stuff I buy from supermarkets is not the same flavour sweetness and cookable as the stuff from my allotment which has no pesticides on it

( maybe a touch of fertiliser but hey no ones perfect)
