People who have kids immediately become more insular. Parents are blinded to aspects of their antisocial behaviour by unconditional love for their sprogs. Harmonious relationships are poisoned by competition to get your kids into the best schools etc. Moral principles are thrown out of the window as earning money for said sprog becomes an overriding preoccupation. You start voting Tory etc.

This is of course a generalisation, but you can't deny there is some truth in it.

Weird thread. Not a single person seems to have suggested ending biofuels and severly rationing meat as means of reducing the food we need to produce.

For that matter rationing non agricultural fuel use to stretch it out is usualy another popular idea but I think that tends to end in bun fights about working class people from the UK have the inaliable right to get pissed in Majorca, no matter who starves in 30 years time.

I dont think everyone in nazi germany saw it as "logical and fair" come on ffs. i agree partially with what you're saying but the legitimisation on its own of euthanasia isn't enough to lead to gas chambers.
