one of my dogs died this morning

((((Pingu)))) Sorry to hear about the pooch :(

btw, is Katie still up for a Dogs Trust award? (that was you wasn't it?)

sorry to hear that Pingu.:( will you get another one?

no not yet. we still have the other 5. but if the springer we picked up on saturday pulls through at the vets he may come here to live out his last days in warmth and comfort.

the hardest part was feeding time. only putting out 5 bowls and not adding the various meds he was on. his meds cost me about £200 a month but i would pay ten times that just to have him back healthy and happy.

we knew it would happen at some point but we thought we had at least another summer with him

Hope he pulls through so he can spend his last days in warmth and comfort and the company of your other five dogs and your good self :)

Gutted for you mate. :(

R.I.P Dino.

At least he lived long enough to find a true home, where he was loved. And he had you and Mrs Pingu to thank for that.

We lost one of ours just over a year ago. Nearly broke our hearts utterly. This forum really helped us through.

Sorry pingu.

Is Katie a Rottweiler?

yeah

but she tries to limit the number of babies and grannies she eats to one or two a week. tbf this is mainly due to them playing havok with her digestive system than anything else.

ty all

he came home today, well his ashes did, and am feeling much better for him being back where he was loved.

Ah, I got the right one then. I looked her up on the internet :D

are you buying his his ashes or scattering them under his favourite tree or something similar? :(

he will stay in the house. he hated the cold and the wet (cos of his joints) and would come back to haunt us if we placed his ashes outside. exactly where though has yet to be decided.

well not on the mantlepiece if you're a smoker. People seem to mistake them for ashtrays
