One love, one life, one takeaway. But which one?!

Which takeaway?

You can get 72.9% of the pleasure of pizza from cheese on toast but curry takes a very long time to make and so curry takeaway is the one to save.

It is a clear winner.

Because it's quick and easy, and if you're lucky enough to have decent vendor locally, then it can be so, so good.

If there is a nice one I guess but the main chains are wank and soooooooo overprices. And the fresh ones you can get in supermarkets these days are tastyyum and not even half as expensive.

It's not just me. Most of my friends feel the same. We get together and chat about it sometimes.

Are these 'friends' actually just the pizza delivery boys?

I have, and to be fair it's not without merit.

You haven't mate. Go and have a schezwan hotpot and tell me that it's bland and gloopy. People get the chinese food they deserve - us slanty eyed folks clearly spit in your food.

Takeaway wise and it'd be piri piri chicken and ribs from the Gallery for me. Chinese and Indian roughly equals second, dependent on mood.

Delivery pizza are for lossers. Thin crust pizzas lose heat like a bald man in a fridge.

Delivery pizza from Mamma's Pizza is fucking lovely. There isn't any good delivery pizza in the Brixton area though, so I sympathise.

Pish. Basilico, the other poncey one, Deliverance and Papa Joes all deliver to Brixton, along with the other chain options. And then you've the pizza place that food critics wet themselves over in the market during the day (Franco Manca)

Pizzas are just takeaways for the terminally unimaginative. If someone else is paying maybe, but you'd be a mug to opt for posh cheese on bread instead of the other options as your favourite takeaway imo.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. I'd rather go out for a curry.

I could have said anywhere and you'd have said it was shit :D

But you mentioned Shanghai Blues, which is like a modern 'all areas' Chinese for knobbers that they saw coming in a Harry Enfield sense. You'd get a better meal in a backstreet restaurant in Streatham. It's a particularly bad example imo.

I'd rather go out for a curry or pizza too to be honest, but this is about takeaways. You been to Franco Manca yet fella? - it's worth the queues and pilgramage for pizzaheads

I googled 'best Chinese restaurants in London' and picked on from a list on Square Meal :p

There was a restaurant in Market Harborough called The Han, that was a nice Chinese restaurant.

The food in Hong Kong was nice and hot.

I voted curry cos there's an excellent South Indian place near me called Ocean. Lots of tasty, non-standard dishes. Plenty of veggie and fishy options and they do dosas.

i voted sushi, not that i have a sushi place near me, but if i did, i'd be a very happy girl :) too fiddly to make at home if you want lots of tastes rather than just one type iyswim

if i had to chose from the ones available to me, i'd say chinese

The world is ravaged by nuclear holocaust, which is sad. Only one of the takeaways in your area survived. Which one do you hope lives on to serve another day?

Poll to follow.

My new burger place. I'll make a bloody fortune if it's the only food hole left in the area.

Capitalism rules :D

I think it would have to be the pie shop for me.
