One dead, seven injured in stabbing outside Cornwall nightclub

This sounds horrific:

One man has died and seven others have been injured after a stabbing outside a nightclub in Cornwall.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said, while those injured were sent to hospital for examination. None are being treated as life-threatening.

Officers are supporting the next of kin of the deceased.


Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they have launched a murder inquiry and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

In a statement, police said that a 24-year-old man from Bodmin was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

“He remains in police custody at this time,” the force added.

As awful as this undoubtedly is there’s a part of me thankful that it’s not in USA with readily available guns. There’s another part of me that is worried by the increasing number of knife crimes in the U.K..

And apparently fell out of the loft while the police were tossing his house.

There doesn't seem to be a reason for the attack or for him carrying a knife apart from making himself feel like a big tough guy.

There are some young lads I teach who I can see going this kind of way with their lives. Maybe the story of this total waste of skin, his pointless crimes and the throwaway sitcom gag of his downfall should be added to the curriculum.
