I'd like to go down there - well the bit they have open for the public - was very near where we stayed - and we went to a couple of bars by Denfert (sp?) - but this was a flying visit, and as it wasn't oo busy we went for the grand tourust tour ;) :)

Definitely this - fantastic - slightly nuts park - one of my fav places. There are some amazing little back streets round there and whole hidden streets and areas of housing that you can only access through little doors in the street that you'd never look twice at (really you're supposed to be a resident to get in though and you wouldn't know they were there otherwise - I went with a French friend who lives in Belleville).

yes, Belleville is fantastic. I remember many walks lasting hours there and menimontant as well.
