One club players

Tommy Mooney possibly with Watford about 8-9 years ago, they came through each division.

What about some of the players on the old wimbledon side of the 80s

Two good calls, especially the Wimbledon one, im guessing at least of a couple of them must be close to it. Im a little to "fragile" at the moment to look but you must be right with most of it.

Watford haven't been in Division 4 since the 1970s, I doubt Tommy Mooney was playing for them then

Wally Downes, Dave Beasant and Alan Cork all played in all four divisions for Wimbledon

Are you sure? I thought they came through the divisions in the late 90s or so. Hmm.

Positive. They were Div 3 in about 1996-1998, went up as champions in 1997/98. Definitely never went down to the basement

John Greig MBE 755 appearances for Rangers. Captain of club and country.
5 years manager of Rangers. He is now a director in the club.

Billy McNeil MBE. 789 appearences for Celtic. Something about the European Cup in 1967.

It would be interesting to see how many one club players with 200+ appearances there are currently in the top 2 leagues. Im guessing at Giggsy, John Terry, Steven Gerrard and what about Ian Ashby he as been a Hull player throughout every league (I dont think he played for anyone else even if he has its still a hell of a record)

John O'shea and Wes Brown both got over 200 caps for Utd....even more impressive as both would have walked into most prem teams and been 1st choice...still better to be a sub at the best club in the world and all that;)

Yeah I said that above. But ffs going about 3 miles down the road for the final season of your career is worth gently brushing under the carpet.

The guy was a loyal servant...

Of all the things to hate Ratboy for the fact that he wouldnt give Pottsy even a minute in the last game of the 2001-02 season to break thru the 400 barrier disappointed me most!

I think you're thinking of Steve Finnan, because I had the same thought and looked him up

However, as far as I can tell he didn't play for Fulham in what was then the Third Division. He played for Notts County in that league, then signed for Fulham when they were in the Second Division.

Pretty sure he's still the only player to play in every English league, the Champion's League and the World Cup (and now La Liga!)
