One Britain One Nation, one load of bollocks

And come to think of it, that's not the only similarity with V for Vendetta... :hmm:

ETA: Oh, apparently it's a thing already...

Periodically someone or another goes on about bringing the country together, or uniting the people.
How exactly?
The best you can hope for is to tolerate differences without it spilling over into violence (though violence might be appropriate in certain circumstances).
So what would unite you with, say, Stephen Yakkitty Lookatme, or Mark Francois, or Boris Johnson?

"U.K. schools are being asked to celebrate “one Britain one nation” day on an actual day when Scottish schools are either already shut for the summer holidays or preparing to do so. That’s a metaphor for British nationalism if ever there was one."

Anyone not joining in will be sanctioned or expelled

Trying to work out what's going on with this, cause while it's true there's a single DoE tweet promoting this weird shit in three days, I'm not aware of there being any other direct promotion or instruction by the government - I think claiming 'UK schools are being asked to celebrate' it is a stretch.

If you go to the OBON twitter account (who've gained a mighty 18 further followers since we last discussed this) they're retweeting schools who are involved, and they are without exception in Bradford. There's no national campaign to get schools to sign up or anything. The only people talking about this are outraged liberals on twitter - it feels to me like it's just trolling really - just stirring the culture war pot, like they did with the 'white privilege' thing this morning too.
