on this thread we love tea.

I fancy a brew right now :) Except im busy working and have to finish what Im doing before I can go for a brew.

A nice hot cup of sugary tea is a fantastic hangover cure imo - especially if you feel a bit queasy and cant face eating anything :)

my mate bought me some white tea (she knew I drank green) so I drink that now. Invited her round the other week for a nice pot of white tea. I felt rather grown up.

tea IS the best drink of the day (about 15 best drinks a day i have in that case). i know i should swap the odd cuppa for a glass of water but somehow it's just not the same.

am struggling through a box of Darjeeling at work atm though and i don't finish it pretty soon it may put me off for life.

Good old premier own brand 4 me.

oi! get your jokes of my thread klein. this is a serious thread....

i have to admit that i do like a nice, proper brew, none of this tea bag malarky. but that's a rare luxury. i don't do it every day because, well, some things NEED to be special. once upon a time i owned three teapots. now i own none. i'm not really one for delayed gratification but goddam it, if i went and started drinking real tea daily i'd have no treats left in life.

Your thread? Typical of a poropper tea drinker that!

I'm liking redbush tea the moment, but I am really missing regular tea.

I love that stuff! It's a really good one if you don't want caffeine but don't want the pissiness of herbal teas either.

I love tea.

It's a bit sharp though. Bit like strong black tea, no?

Any way, what makes something propper tea? Eg, is green tea propper of herbal?

nope, green tea is like erbal tea. proper tea is the stuff what you put in tea pots. the stuff you get in tea bags is builders' tea. herbal teas aren't tea at all, but are actually wrongness in a mug.

You put milk in it - it's lush and quite mellow imo - less harsh than regular tea.
Milk in redbush? I didn't know that.

Thing with all them herbals is they don't give you a lift, which is main point of tea.

How come tea doesn't make you go jangley like coffee, even though it also has caffiene? It must be something else in coffee that does one in, right?

Quite so, you can't cock your little finger when you are drinking that muck. You need to have a firm grip on the rancid filth so that you don't spill it when you have a nasty turn from drinking something so nauseating.
