I went to a sake tasting once and tried about a dozen types of sake.

It was at one of those fancy places where they give you a spitoon, but we didn't bother with that. Sake drunkenness is really nice

It's just like wine, they can taste totally different. We even tried a sparkling sake! I think it was a bit of a novelty - apparantly it was made for the grand prix, to throw around everywhere.

Sake is great. Bollocks to mulled wine - a milky sake, nicely warmed through, is the perfect winter tipple. It kept me snug and warm through a bleak Nagano winter once.
