I first heard 'Chime' at a rave in '89.

It was so amazing, I was convinced I must be imagining it.

-As you do... :o :D

I'm green with envy that you heard it 6 years earlier than me ! ;)

<... goes off and puts on "Yellow album" ....> :D

Don't worry, I'm sure I wasn't the very first person to ever hear it or anything. :D

A tune's a tune isn't it, and the first time you hear it is always special to you.

-Where or whenever that might be! :)

live coverage on BBC3 right now ...

edited to say :- it really doesn't look worth swimming in piss for .....

(mind you some of the venues in Bristol have ill-defined toilet / dance floor boundaries .. but at least you get to go home afterwards )

That's beyond grim, it almost looks like a piss take of a washed out Glastonbury ;) and I heard half of that is the stream that runs gold with piss.

Some festival goers appear to have completely lost the instinctive understanding of why camping at the bottom of a slope might not be a particularly good idea. :D

In all seriousness though... -I imagine the health implications of having shit-infested flood waters like we've seen this year will mean certain areas like that will have to be made off limits to campers in future years.

Thank you!

Everyone's been giggling away and I feel like the annoying worrying mother cos Ive been thinking about this all day! (So much so that I secretly wish I was there to aid people :o )

*runs away embarrassed*

One hopes the organisers will help the victims out ...

All of the people who camped by the stream must have been new to the Glastonbury experience cos you know people spend the whole weekend weeing in it. I don't think I would have considered the bottom of the slope implications. Although it has been hellishly muddy before, we haven't seen this kind of flooding. i reckon next year they should have some snow - liven things up abit (more). ;)

I'd definately vote for the hailstones!!

Mini tornado? or is that just pushing it abit....

I'm sure we'll regret this when our fellow urbanites return and read all this

(perhaps we should go back afterwards and change all our posts to something nice ;) :D )

Well it didnt look too bad when I was there this afternoon dropping Red3k off...

Hheheheheh she got a job there watering plants for an hour in the mornong and an hour in the evening-lucky bugger -no need for her to do anything now!!! :D

The weather good or bad is part of the being outside experience of Glastonbury. And if it is your tent that gets burnt down/ washed away/ blown up, then you might make the local papers and it would be a story to tell the grandkids.

I sure urbanites at Glastonbury will all look back at this and laugh.........

Fucking hell those pics look much, much worse than anything I experienced in the 10 I've been to.

Mind you, if people will camp at the bottom of the hill..

:(

My wife takes ages studying the local topography before she will pitch a tent anywhere.
(We have yet to be flooded out yet)

I suspect there are some red faces in the festival offices over this one - especially after Boscastle and Yorkshire ...
.
.
I'll make a note to get there early if I go next time so I can get a decent pitch ..

I think 2007 will be known as 'The Fight for the High Land'. (Bring your own Claymore ;) )
