    Ming Massive prawns

Band i'd never heard of who supported Melvins at a gig i was at here in Vancouver. Fucking blew me away and i bought the CD at the gig.
They're a two piece called Spotlights from New York. Kind of My Bloody Valentine-ish.

Peter Perrett - How the West Was Won Pretty good, very....Perretty

Magazine - Old World Charm (Live) - ep from a 2009 show. Short, but very good indeed.

    Happy Mondays - Bummed

I've thought about starting a best-three-album-run thread before. If I did, Squirrel-Bummed-Pills would certainly be a contender.

danny la rouge This is definitely the darkest timeline

I've had Scott Walker 'Til the Band Comes In this morning, now on Scott 2.

Might have a Scott Walker day.

(Earlier I had an ECM compilation on, but every theme needs its boundary).

Charli XCX - Number 1 Angel

This is excellent on the first listen. A bit like M.I.A, but possibly a little more polished.

It must have been at least a year since I last listened to this. It's better than I remember.

    SpookyFrank Somewhere under the raincloud

    Esparanza Spalding - Emily's D+Evolution

Rockier, weirder and much better than her earlier, more traditional jazz/soul stuff.
