Orbital - Orbital
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Tender Prey
Anjou - Anjou
The Delgados - The Complete BBC Peel Sessions
Such an underrated band, and sadly missed.
Southern Culture on the Skids - Countrypolitan Favourites; lots of fun
The Memory Band - A Fair Field; excellent modern folk, not just rehashing stuff that's been done a hundred times before
Chivalrous Amoekons - Fanatic Voyage; meh, obviously done by fans but TBH most of the tracks are strictly inferior to the originals, probably only interest to Mekons fans
Blanck Mass - Blanck Mass
Brits Abroad - Last Tango In Paris
Spacklehouse Tottu - ep
both from the 'soundtrack' to Julian Cope's novel One Three One. They're worth listening to. Once. (actually, I quite like most of the spacklehouse, nice, dirty, electronica)
Julian Cope - Rite At Ya
Part four in the Rite series - 'monotonous meditations from the back of beyond 1993 - 20016.' Solid ambient dronage
Avenue D - Bootleg
Fugazi - In On the Kill Taker
I might do a run through listen of all the Fugazi albums sometime and try and decide which is best. This would certainly be a contender.
Harold Budd/Brian Eno - The Pearl
The Fall - Hex Enduction Hour
Th' Faith Healers - Lido
Ulrich Schnauss - No Further Ahead Than Today
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - Feed the Rats; don't think I like this as much as some but it is good
A Winged Victory for the Sullen - IRIS; bit meh really, disappointing
Drive-by Truckers - Brighter than Creations Dark
Probably my favourite, though these days I really like The Argument too
Excepting Margin Walker because it's so hard to find on its own, Repeater and The Argument are the ones that seem to get the most praise. To be honest though, I say fuck it; they're all pretty damn brilliant.
Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters
Daft Punk - Homework
Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets; haven't listened to this for ages forgot how got it is.
Brian Eno and David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
Xanopticon - Liminal Space
Not listened to this for a while, but it's a great playlist. (I've got the book of the same name, which is a great jazz snob coffee table book).
The Breeders - Last Splash
Múm - Smilewound
Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff plus Early Singles
