I realised, but mine didn't come through very well, I thought of it more as I would say it than type it.

Tapenade usually has anchovies and capers in it btw, probably why you can take it (strong flavours).

I like anchovies and capers, if someone posted a poll on them, I would vote that I love them :)
 
You have stick with olives and learn to love them. I used to be all 'yuk' and at the most have them cooked in a dish but then I had a slice of pizza covered in only chopped up black olives and I was hooked.

My faves are big fat queen green ones pref with garlic or spiced up but I will pretty much eat any olive. I snack on olives from a jar every day standing hunched over with my spoon. Reckon I scoffed about 20 each today and yesterday.

It most upsets me that the twice I visited Greece was pre pizza and at best I tolerated them in a Greek salad...:(
 
only people with inferior, poor tastes fail to enjoy the many different flavours and textures of various types of olive
 
it's not a salty thing for me tbf, I love anchovies, and salt and vinegar crisps, and salted peanuts (and dry roasted)
