Feeding the foxes
It's quite amazing when you read some of the threads on Pistonheads just how people's minds have changed about the XJS, to not liked very much in '75 when it replaced the E-Type, to being seen everywhere and plenty of them banger-raced 
(), to now not really seeing them, and appearing in all the 'cool car threads'. 
An elderly woman at the petrol station in an ice-blue X-Type filling up opposite gave me the thumbs up half an hour after picking mine up, together with lots of people peering in, taking pictures of it and asking me about it at a small car show at Audley End a week later.
Discokermit, be happy in the knowledge that you've virtually got a DB7 underneath for 20% of their secondhand values and a lot less when it comes to the maintenance.
