Aye, this place Is infested with old fogeys.
Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste -
There will be a thread about what sort of nightcap you wear in bed next.
I had these up until last week - they're now in little pieces inside my bin thanks to a small furry animal. I got them from a charity shop for about £3 and they still had the sticky labels on the sole.
*goes off to start thread*
Mules and flip flops, just how do people keep them on?
Mate, they're something like my Grandad would wear and he's 90 odd year old.
They're easy to slip on and off; that's the whole point. Wearing an old pair of trainers around the house now and they're just not as comfy (despite being very comfy battered old trainers)
But if you insist on wearing slippers you could get these:
Aye, but how do you keep them on? When I have tried they end up flying off, tried to go native in OZ and failed due to this.
They just stay on
They do fall off if I wear them barefoot, like.
Tell you what I could never get... bed socks! Horrible things.
Slippers, night caps and bed socks, where will it end
In a hospice.
I'm not merry, I'm just plain pissed
I've always fancied a pair of persian slippers, the sort with the curly toe, but i think i'll wait till i'm proper old.
People with thin blood, low blood pressure and an open fire with no central heating
My slippers are a pair of suede fleece lined boots from Schuh, I bought them for about £10 in the sale a couple of year ago. Those slippers that just go on your feet are useless to me.
My slippers are whatever I was wearing before I came in, I have regular bruising to prove it.
Woke to see foster dog crouched over my slippers, i 'd had a lie in and she was displaying her dismay by pissing in my comfy suede and wool booteez
They've gone in the washing machine but i may be back in market for new house dapps
Birkenstocks! Or hiking socks.
You are presumably naturally a lot warmer than I am.
I have laminate flooring, so socks are dangerous. Bare feet is a no-no if you have cats who are prone to throwing up a lot.
I wear Totes Isotoner slippers like this:
They do men's slippers as well.
Got some North Face Tent Mules in the end. They're ace. Super comfy - there's down between your foot and the sole so they have a bouncy Nike Air sort of thing happening. I can imagine they would be just the thing to wear in your tent after a hard day scaling the Matterhorn but I shall be using them for the slightly less strenuous task of transporting me from the sofa to the fridge.
That's just so wrong . Tent. Mules.
I've been wearing a pair of old uggs for a couple of years then I got a pair of polish wool slippers for christmas. Both are looking a bit knackered now. In summer wear my flip-flops as slippers but I'm planning to treat myself to a decent pair of sheepskin slippers for next winter.
I only started wearing slippers about 5 years ago but then I also own a nighty now too and a bed jacket sounds tempting
I like slipper boots. I did have some ugg sort of ones but they got really stinky and I couldn't wash them (I think dogs were sleeping on them : D )
I now have a pair of red tartan boots I got for 6 quid in the next sale. I really don't care what this says about me and I might even be willing to wear them to the shop.
Get some Homeys. I may have had something to do with them. <whistles innocently>
