If and when I go back to work, it'll probably be part-time.

Saying 'See ya on Monday' on Wednesday lunchtime appeals a lot.

By the way, do you part timers get asked to do things "out of hours"? I've got a new manager who thinks I should be going to meetings for the full day, despite the fact that my childcare for ad hoc (pointless) meetings would cost more than I earn!

If it continues, I'm going to have to leave...

Thankfully, I don't much, and if I do end up going to something out of hours I can claim the time back as TOIL. But then I don't have a small child to look after, that is definitely out of order on their part

yeah its great. i work part time as a cash office and accounts clerk at a large retailer.

part of my job i to go through all the card transaction slips and make sure they correspond to the computer records..which means sifting through hundreds of little till receipt. when i clock off at 4 its a case of "see ya!" with the stuff still left on the desk.


i dont like working there anyway. looking for something else next month.
