It's not unusual for folk down here in london to ask me whether they need a passport to go to scotland.
I always say yes, of course.
Think that would happen if we got independance? It would be wierd having border checks at hadrians wall.

If Scotland remained in the EU, it'd be like travelling to Ireland or France. Only less so, given the lack of ferry crossing.Think that would happen if we got independance? It would be wierd having border checks at hadrians wall.

And I'd tie myself to a runway, you planet despoiler! We could all fly up to make it feel more international.

You don't. But some carriers want to id you in case you're a terrorist. (It's not a border control; it's a transport security thing). Why is it that you need a passport to travel between France/UK, but not between Eire/UK?

http://www.seafrance.com/seafrance/opencms/uk/en/passenger/your_journey/travel_documents.htmlA valid UK passport is required for all travel to the Continent. If you need any information on visa requirements please visit the French Consulate website: www.consulfrance-londres.org
http://faqs.irishferries.com/faq/if/1298.aspIrish Ferries recommend all passengers bring a passport with them. Irish and British citizens do not strictly require a passport to travel between the two countries - some form of identification is however required. Photo ID, Bank Cards or bills for house utilities addressed to you are all acceptable and useful means of identification.
That's about it.I guess it's just up to the operators and what they consider the risk in each case.

Isla St Claire was an early source of trouser-arousal when I was too young to realise the connection between lady/stiff cock.
Wow, all you Albans must be proud! My favourite bit was where the dancers do a weird combination of contemporary R&b style dancing with the occassional little Highland Jig - that mixing of US street culture with the Highlands marks this video down as a future classic.

Quite a few airlines do require a passport for internal flights between England ad Scotland. Despite it being a clear breach of the act of Union.![]()
I'm sure I've flown to Scotland on a driving licence* before.
* As a passenger, that is, not as a pilot.
someone on facebook has just been kind enough to direct my attention to

You guys should show some respect for Scotland! This was quite a good performance of Scotish heritage. We do have more contemporary music in Scotland but our heritage is quite important. I think it was brilliant! Go Scotland!!!
