On the clip - that one second from the right isn't really dressed for the Highands, is she?

Nor are the dancers (you may appreciate the latest comment)

Feck off sassenach :p

Is it really bad? I stopped watching after a wee while and I never put my speakers on. The clothes were fecking awful(from what I saw)
Yes, it's as bad as you can imagine - Disneyfied schmaltz. Worse: Disneyfied schmaltz done badly. It's enough to make a coach load of philistines from the Bad Taste Tour run by Wee Tacky McErsatz cringe with embarrassment.

Here is the same chap minus cheesy backing band, and in the more glamorous setting of the Uig-Tarbert Calmac ferry:

Oh and here he is eating fast food:

See, he can sing. He's actually very good, when he's not being smarmy, and hammered into a Dick Van Disney Does Brigadoon McRiverDance cheesefest.

someone on facebook has just been kind enough to direct my attention to
all the way through, I was hoping against hope it might turn out to be a spoof :(

*scrubs ears and eyes and mind with caustic soda*
Im sassenach, so dont come here, but happened along it and....
I just watched the first few seconds of that vid.

Hence, I love the title of this thread
Oh dear lord, indeed.
:p

Oh my!

...and that set? A bit Scottish play, wasn't it? I kept expecting to see the Clan MacDuff, slain and bloodied, stage left.

If its for the yanks then why the fuck not. Get fed up with all this oirish paddy me olfellapotayto bejasus shite.

Us jocks have had just as big if not more an influence on their history.

:D in case anyone takes it the wrong way

They only needed The Krankies, Johnny Beattie and Sidney Devine in there to complete the cycle of cheese.

Oh and Jackie Bird to present it!

I work for the people who gave you Nicholas Andrew Argyll Campbell.

We don't like to talk about him very much. :o :(

You'd do well not to mention him in front of me, I'll tell you that for nothing.

Best you can hope for is that if we meet it is long enough after this for me to have forgotten, or confused you with danny la rouge.

Don't worry, I was not involved with him in any way - He had already begun his radio career before I first worked for them.
