Not sure if I'm coming or not yet. If I do, don't be alarmed at the fact that I've got electrodes stuck all over me. I'm being screened for a heart defect my ma has got, not that anyone seriously thinks I have it, but this involves wearing a tape recorder thing that records my heartbeat for 24 hours.

It is - that's why I said don't be alarmed! I was meant to be screened for this thing about six years ago and never got round to it, and I haven't dropped dead yet, so I'm fairly convinced I'm not going to croak any minute now.

oooh I had to do that once, and was thoroughly relieved to get them off afterwards. Of course I couldn't resist playing the tape before I handed it in at the hospital, and in the process wiped the lot, thus necessitating another 24 hours of electrode joy...
twould be great to see you though :)

It comes in quite a cool belt thing... I wonder if I could sneak out of the hospital with that tomorrow after I've handed the tape in?

People will just think you're wearing a well rad 80s type futuristic outfit.

I had one of those when I was about 9 years old. I had weird heart/chest problems when I was younger and they strapped that thing to me for 24hrs.

I hope you do come Rubes cos my sister's coming tonight :)

Sorry to make light of a serious situation but ... it might be interesting to see which DJs get your heart beat pumping ... not to mention anything else you get up to. ;)

Don't think I'm gonna make this one. I've been told, in no uncertain terms by a consultant at the hospital, to cut down on my drinking. I don't think I can come out and drink soft drinks, so I'm gonna (try to) stay in. :(

Quick note: we're experiencing what's known in the trade as 'technical difficulties' so go easy on the DJs!

i'm bringing a BIG pile of vinyl so i should be able to fill time for people who only brought CDs... pisser though :(

It was that Dunkirk spirit- everyone huddled around the decks together and cycling quickly to get the electricity working :D
Socialism at work makes me proud ;)

As a DJ, I was expecting piles of free drugs and women throwing themselves at my feet.

What I got was a broken CD player and a voucher for a free drink

Had fun though and would do it again :)

Oh great - after leaving relatively early the two energy drinks I had have only just started to kick in now.

Man, I'm stupid.

What a fun night!

It was great seeing people I hadnt seen in a while, as well as watching my sister pile on all that jewellery. I'm still wearing the earrings ;) :D

See you all soon (probably at PROD) :)

I met an artist at a party a few years ago who was wired up. His heart beat was monitored and displayed live in a West End shop window on a huge screen (via a mobile phone link). It got quite a bit of publicity at the time.

I gave him some speed . . .

i had some jobsworth little shit refuse me a drink because i'd obviously faked my token, and some scurity guard who i tried to be REALLY nice to getting arsey because his boss was a cunt,
