Offline 28th June: Robin Ince, Kings Cross Hot Club, Blazing Zoos and more!

Yes - that was good, shame I had to leg it for last tube.. needn't of bothered as I've been hung over as fuck all day anyway.. midweek drinkin' is a no-go me thinks..

Sorry I didn't make it, but unlike all the other Glasto casualties I at least have the excuse I wasn't just a punter down there. I also put in four five hour shifts for the Campaign Against the Arms Trade as well as doing all the Glasto bacchanlia. It's only the second time ever (in about 17 years) I've pulled a sickie from a gig.

<slinks off feeling only partly vindicated>

I didn't get to bed until around four am but I still made it into work with less the three hours sleep.

I loved the Blazing Zoos. Really loved them. In fact I loved them so much I'm off to see them on Wednesday night at What's Cookin' if anyone else wants to join me.

:)

They've asked for a gig back at Offline so you'll be able to see them at JAMM again soon!

I think they were quite shocked when they mentioned a gig in Leytonstone and LD whooped up :)

"There 2 types of songs in this world, country songs & songs that just don't know they're country songs" class! then launching into a c&w version of 'Pretty in Pink'

I was gutted to miss this - esp. as Kings X Hotclub were playing....but I wasn't in London....

Sounds like it was a good un!

Hope to see y'all soon :)
