Offices w/ showers

I've never managed to work for a company that has showers in the office.

Must have something to do with SME's in the private sector having to pay their way.....

No showers at my present company but we did at the last one as we had a gym too.

My best friend worked for KPMG in jersey until recently and she used to cycle along the sea front to work. One morning a huge wave engulfed her and her bike and covered her in water, sea weed and various junk. She has never been so relieved to have a shower at work.:D

i've heard a rumour that there's a shower in the basement, but i've never ventured down there and i've heard it's a bit scary.

i just cycle slowly to work, and if i go running i go halfway across town to shower and then have to get the bus back, which entirely defeats the purpose of cycling.

our new building has a shower in it now, but it's being refurbished so who knows if it will be there when we move in.

is this purely a uk or european thing? i've never heard of an office in the us having a shower...but nobody in the us cycles, either.

who ever said accountancy was boring :D

5 men's showers in the basement near the bike racks, then a few more throughout the building. (Not sure where the ladies ones are, not being one to use them!). My preference is for the one on the 12th floor - previously the chairman's offices etc, now used only as meeting rooms so nobody else uses it. Needs descaling though, it's turned into more of a trickle lately.

It's handy having showers at work especially if you don't want to pay the exorbitant amounts of cash monthly to be a member of a gym that you will only use for the showers! :D I'm sure I read somewhere that companies could get grants for converting some office space into showers...
