i've ALWAYS said festivals arent about the music . . . :o but i think i really want to go to this.

is it accessible without any transport?

sod it someone kick me when you're thinking about the autumn one and i'll prolly come too :)

ah that I don't know

its just on the egde of Donington Race Track (mmmmm lovely way to be woken up - the sound of motorbikes hurling past!) so I'm not sure how you would get there

I'm sure you can, you must be able to!

theres links at the bottom about buses etc

the only thing is food onsite, we tend to cook for ourselves (well, bring food and eat it, cooking is pushing it a bit :D) as there tends to be not a lot onsite, but will and stig don't cook and eat well so maybe they'll help with that one :)

:o before it looks like I'm being rude, we only have a little car for us now (I wrote the other one off) and I couldn't fit anyone in, which is why moochild is taking himself :o

i'll now promptly forget about this until about july when i'll remember in the middle of the night in a cold sweat.

someone remind me when tickets go on sale :)

We were advised to cook our own because there was no veggie food in past years.
But there's a great big veggie tent in the camping field now that my mate hamish runs, so that's that sorted.

do you know everyone? :D *remembers food place in lost world stage that you knew too*
I know a really small percentage of the population, but I'm working on it. :D

When where who? I don't remember that! Was I just pretending to know someone to blag free food?

oooo now maybe :D

one of the food stalls to the left of the brothers bar - thats about as far as my memory goes :o where you could wash up for food IIRC

Ah, Leon from Leons! Yep I know him. :D

He has indeed let me wash up for free food and wine. Bargain if you're skint.

Which is great as he gets everywhere :D always at Womad, he was even at Chappel Beerfest last year

A couple of people from London fly, as East Midlands airport is only over the road :D

Katarina (whom you know) comes up for the late one on public transport, although I think she has to walk the last bit or get a lift off Kerplunk to Nottingham when it's a bank hol.

yeah you've told me that before :D i think theres more chance i'll have a driving license than a pilots license. but you never know :D

<buffs tankard>

Looks like the weather might be somewhat more er... 'refreshing' than we're used to. :)

Had a chat with Andy Cooper up at Knocky last week & apparantly ticket sales have been on the slow side but hopefully there will be plenty turn up on the gate.

Have a great time folks. :D

^ ^ ^ And that's how it was, folks. Much drinking all round.

Hayseed Dixie got into the OTT spirit by playing a storming set, then jamming in the cattleshed with local musicians until the early hours, receiving double bass tuition, and leading the sing-song, whilst enjoying the fine beers. :)

I have some words to say

who has given me a vile nasty throat and bright green phelgmy nastiness?

I had a wicked time, best one I've been to yet imo, Hayseed Dixie great, nice to chat to too although how much they understood is another matter :D

mooses on form, riffs mad as ever, fire extinguisher was hilarious :D and moochild even was seen to smile

now, I'm late for work, I feel like death and everything I own smells of minty fresh fags and I don't smoke

I likes festies :D
